Bri's new spot

My journey with Rod Parsley has yet taken a new twist. Today the focus is on education in America and how truly poor it is. After dinner I will expound on the details from Parsley’s book, "Silent No More". Now that dinner is done, I can now give some figures that are very sad...... A study found that 25 million high school grads cannot identify the US on an outline map of the world; 44 million could not find the Pacific Ocean; nearly 61 million could not come within 500 miles of the nation’s capitol. Here are more sad examples.... Almost one third of all graduating seniors could not identify the Declaration of Independence as the formal break between Great Britain and the American colonies; 28 percent did not know that Columbus discovered America in 1492; 32 percent cannot name more than the last three presidents. There are some 90 million American adults that are illiterate; 35 million more can only read at a very basic level. SAT scores have fallen since 1963 up until they actually lowered the standards..... So what is wrong with education in America??? I sure wish our government would figure it out instead of worrying about how much of a raise they need to give themselves..... Not sure if it’s me but it does seem to be the first issue on the block every time they are in session..........
